Overview of the location

Pakistan is a country full of diversity in every means whether that’s the landscape, food, culture or our traditions. Swat is known as the Switzerland of Pakistan. The river Swat is a clear water river, starting from the Ushu range of mountains to the valley of Swat. It is one of the greenest valleys of Northern Pakistan and is well connected to the rest of the country. The valley of Swat is in the foothills of the Hindu Kush mountain range. The main town of the valley is Mingora and Saidu Sharif.

Itinerary Section

8 DAYS 7 NIGHTS

Day 1: Arrival at Islamabad

KhushAamdeed! Welcome to the capital of Pakistan. Upon arrival, once you clear customs and collect your luggage, you will be met by Facing North representatives and will be transferred to your hotel. The drive to your hotel will be approximately 30 minutes. There will be time to settle in and relax after your international flight. You may wish to take a quick half day city tour. Dinner will be served at the renowned Monal Restaurant with a stunning panoramic view of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Situated on the hill of the Potohar, nestled against the pristine Margalla Hills, Monal Restaurant is voted as one of the most romantic restaurants in Islamabad. Your dinner experience tonight at Monal will be a great introduction to Pakistani cuisine. A brief introduction will also be given to prepare you for the upcoming tour. Day 2: Islamabad to Fizaghat

Early morning departure from Islamabad to Fizaghat, it’s a four hour journey passing through Mardan, Takht-e-Bahi and Batkhaila. We will have short stopovers in between for snacks and photo-ops. We will reach Saidu Sharif, transfer to a hotel, after which lunch will be served. Half-day city tour covering the White Palace and Stupas. Return to the hotel. Dinner will be served. Overnight stay. Activities: Long drive, Photo-ops

Day 3: Fizaghat to Kalam

After breakfast, we will depart early in the morning for Kalam Valley. Our journey will be approx. three hours travelling along the Swat River. The main attraction in Upper Swat is Kalam. Enroute, we will make short stopovers at Bahrain and Madyan for trout farms, where lunch will be served. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Kalam. There will be free time for leisure. Dinner will be served. Overnight stay. Activities: Madyan trout farm, Photo-ops

Day 4: Mahodand lake, Ushu Forest, Mitaltian Waterfall & Saifullah lake

Early morning breakfast will be served. Today we will explore the beauty of Kalam in a jeep safari. We will start our journey with Ushu forest, do some sightseeing and stop for photo-ops. Next we will head towards Mohdand lake where we will do some boating and water sports. In between we will stop at Mitaltian waterfall. After spending the afternoon at Mohdand, we will head to Saifullah lake. Then we will return to Kalam, where a BBQ dinner will be served with a bonfire. Overnight stay. Activities: Ushu forest walk, Mitaltian waterfall, boating in Mahodand lake and Saifullah lake.

Day 5: Kalam to Malam Jabba

Early morning breakfast will be served, after which we will depart for Malam Jabba. Located near Fizaghat, it’s a four hour journey with short stopovers in between. Lunch will be served on the way. After our day in Malam Jabba, we will transfer to the hotel. Rest and leisure for the rest of the day. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Activities: Drive to Malam Jabba & Ski Resort

Day 6: Malam Jabba & Ski Resort

After breakfast, we will explore the beautiful Malam Jabba, we will take the chair lift all the way to the top of the mountain. Zip lining can be done as well. Lunch will be served, after which there will be free time to relax and embrace nature. Dinner will be served in the hotel. Overnight stay. Activities: Malam Jabba, ski resort, chair lift & zip lining.

Day 7: Malam Jabba to Islamabad

Early morning breakfast will be served after which we will depart for Islamabad. We will travel 235 km back to the capital city through the motorway. Lunch will be served on the way. Upon arrival and after checking into the hotel, the remainder of the day will be at leisure to allow you one last opportunity to experience the city on your own or do some last-minute shopping in Islamabad. Tonight, a farewell dinner will be served at Nadia, Marriott.Activities: Short stopovers, long road journey, farewell Dinner
